Last week was our vacation time!!! It was an amazing week. We started out leaving Fathers day evening, while on the road we stopped at a burger king for dinner and we thought of putting together a "Stick Jeremy". We made him of straws and we printed out a picture of his face! Stick Jeremy got to travel with us throughout the week!!! It was awesome!
Day 1-it started out for us to get up and get ready for breakfast. Then we started our day out at the USS Lexington. It was pretty cool! From there we went to the surf museum. We saw some cool surf boards! Then it was off to the beach. It was a pretty nice day but windy. We had a lot of fun! Afterwards we went back to the room showered and changed and went and had dinner a Joes Crab Shack. "Stick Jeremy" got to go with us just about the whole day!
Day 2- breakfast and then it was off to the Natural History and Science museum!! Now that was a cool museum!!! Cheyenne loved it!!! She learned a lot!! She got to do science experiments and touch everything! Stick Jeremy was with her every step of the way! Next we went to an Art museum, not as cool as the others but it was cool! We had dinner at a local resteruant. That was awesome!!! Back to the hotel for chey to swim in the pool for a few!!
Day 3- up early and back on the road. We headed north in the dark clouds as the rain fell!! We were sad for a bit until the clouds broke!!! Got to New Bruanfels and headed to the Comal River to float!! Nice and relaxing!!!! We floated right by Schlitterbahn Wayer Park! The girls got very excited!!! Knowing that would be where day 4 was leading us!! Checked in at the resort and spent some time just the two of us!!! Played ping pong and arcade games! Back to the room to get some rest.
Day 4- cooked breakfast with the help of Matt and then We were off to the Water Park!!!! What more is there to say about that? It was a blast!!
Day 5- up early and back on the road heading to Lockhart Texas for some good old BBQ!!! Once lunch was done headed to Dime Box Texas. Another old town. Then off to see The Grove Texas!! What amazing towns!!!!
We enjoyed the trip ohhh so much!!! Once Jeremy gets home we will be doing that trip again!!!

This weekend
What a busy weekend it has been!!! I didn't think it was going to ever end!!! It started out Thursday night with a softball game. We won!!! Cheyenne got a triple! Awesome!! She was able to bring 3 runners home!!!!! So proud of her for that!!!
Friday wasn't to bad. Laundry, laundry, laundry!!! I hate laundry!!! But I got it all done!! Chey went skating and I went and had dinner with some great friends! Cheyenne's BFF stayed the night.
Saturday got up and the girls made omelets! Yum!! Then right back out to the softball field. Had the girls all warmed up and relax to stay cool while the other game finished. The team is so cool they were cheering on another team while they waited! It was awesome to see!! It was very sweet. As we started to get set up in the dug out, the ump comes to tell me our opposing team forfeits! So another win for us. Cheyenne was upset, she really wanted to play! Once we got home it was relax mode for a bit and then went to Billi's to work on Cheryl's baby shower cake. Great learning experience!!! Cake turned out great!!!!
This morning it was time to straighten up the house to get ready for the baby shower. Get the food ready then decorate the house for us to celebrate Cheryl. Once that was over it was off to Cheyenne's softball hitting practice! Rush back to the house, change and eat real quick to get her to one of her team mates bday pool party!
Everything turned out great!! To top it off Jeremy called and emailed today!! Knowing that he is doing good makes everything that much sweeter! Cheryl is ready for baby Jeffrey to come as well!!! Any day now!!!! So exciting! All in all it was a great weekend with really great friends!!!! But it almost seemed like this weekend was never going to end!!!

It's been a few days
It's been a few days since I posted last. We have been quite busy for the past few days. Started out Cheyenne going to her dads for the weekend. So it was just me for the weekend! Friday night on of my dearest friends had a graduation party for her son. That was my first outing without Jeremy. It was hard but I was able to enjoy myself. When I got there everyone asked me how I was doing. Billi's family has really made me feel welcome, a part of their family! It was a lot of fun. Congrats to Trevor!!!! Stopped by Lisa's afterwards for a few mins.
Saturday was all about shoveling dirt!!! It took me all day but I did it all by myself!!! 34x4feet of dirt laid!!! I was so sore Sunday!!!
Bill and I had to start getting ready for Cheryl's baby shower next Sunday! So we got all the decorations! We are just about ready for the shower!!!
Monday was waterpark day!!!!!! Lots of fun with Cheyenne, Maddy, and Taylor!!! We all had a lot fun!!! After that dinner with Lisa, Eric, and Schmoe!!! Great friends.
Tuesday we had softball practice. Got an up coming game!!! I think today I am going to work on the yard and pool time with the kid!!!
Ohh yeah got a call from the love of my life!!!!! They are starting mission now so it might be a few day before I hear from him again. But I am a firm believer that no news is good news.

Here Come the Normal Days!
Yesterday was our first normal day. It started out with cheyenne's award ceremony. She made A/B honor roll for the spring semester!!! That was awesome!!!! She had an early out and got to swim all afternoon. We had a softball game at 7 last night which went for almost 2 hours! It seemed like the girls wanted me to have a heart attack on the field. The score was 6-3,and then one of my girls hit a home run with the bases loaded!!! She put us at 7-6!!! The girls held them for the last inning and so we won!!! Very proud of the girls!!!
Last night after the game we went to see one of my bff's and wish her safe journey in afganastan! We will miss her!!!!
As we wake up today, it's the first day of summer!!! Wooooohoooooo!!!!!! I made the girls waffles for breakfast, and they were off into the pool! The girls helped me clean the pool. Now it looks great!
Time for lunch then it's back in the pool!!!!

Holding strong
Today was a little hard. Went to say goodbye to my old unit. As I am telling them to be safe I was thinking that I should be going with them. I would have been leaving today, but I chose a different path. Which for me was better for my family! But I do want the WhitchDoctors to do their thing and stay safe!!!
Cheyenne and I are getting into our routine. It will take a bit until it's good, but we are working on it. Yesterday went well! But from today on it will be great!! A new month is going to bring a new positive and strong attitude!
I have realized that I am sad and I do miss Jeremy very much!!! But at the same time I need to be strong for Jeremy, Cheyenne and myself!!! I have to hold down everything here on the home front!! I have to be strong!!! I don't want Jeremy to have any worries! He needs to be focused on the mission so he comes home to me! I know that's what he wants, me holding strong!
As I layed in bed falling asleep last night Jeremy called me to let me know that he made it there safely!!! And this morning started great as I got another phone call at 630 this morning! Cheyenne got to talk to Jeremy before she went to school which ment a lot to her!! She was a very happy kid going to school!!! And I was a very happy woman today!!! Although the jeep decided to give me a death wobble!!!! Grrrrrrr!! But it will be ok! I think the tires need to be balanced. Easy fix.
But it's time to show this deployment that I got this!!! Holding strong!

Tears
As today is coming to an end I have realized how many tears that have fallen in the last 48 hours. It has been an emotional roller coaster for me. Waking up yesterday realizing that it was time to face reality that Jeremy would be shipping out soon. Knowing that he would not be there in the mornings, coming home at night after work, not being able to call just to say hello, not being able to meet for lunch, and not being able to text him to say "I love you baby".
When we woke up yesterday we had our morning cup of coffee together and then it was time to pack. As the tears started to fall watching him pack his final bags was heart breaking. Seeing the girls help him pack just made the tears come more. Seeing how attached they all have become with him and Jeremy so attached to them. I could see it in his eyes just as much their eyes that he didn't want to go. But duty calls. Cheyenne was distant at first but came around shortly after. She is the one that I worry about most because Jeremy has been such a great influence to her. They have a connection that can not be broken. They are buddies. They tried on some of his gear, which was funny because it weighs more then all three of them together. Lol! They each took turns wearing his hat. They decided that they were done helping him pack and they wanted to make Jeremy bracelets to have while he is gone. Hailley made one of her name, Skilah made one that said I love you, and Cheyenne made hers to say " Cheyenne<3Jeremy". Once they finished that it was time to swim. We all enjoyed the pool as a family and a few very close friends. We were able to have one last softball practice together, dinner together and then sat down to watch a movie as a family! As last night came to an end Matt and Billi came by to wish him well. Matt offered to go with me to drop him off so he could drive me home. I did take him up on that offer. Eric and Lisa stayed the night to care for the girls while we did that. We are fortunate to have some of the best friends in the world. But the tears continued to fall throughout the night for me. I didn't want to let go of him.
330 am came fast, but it was time to load the car, say goodbye to the girls, and get Jeremy to bag drop. The tears just kept coming. At 630am it was time to say the final good byes. I thought I was doing good at that point. Even when Matt and I stopped to get breakfast supplies for everyone. It was early so we figured chorizo and eggs with hash browns would be good for all. Matt helped me with the fan and then the girls came alive. Matt occupied the girls while I started to make the calls to family. Momma called to check on me and the tears fell more. Every time I called another family member to let them know Jeremy made it off safely more and more tears fell. I figured the best way for me was a mass text. Thanks Sara for that idea! Throughout the day I would just start crying.
Once we said goodbye came the time of not putting my phone down. Constantly checking to make sure I didn't miss a call or a text. Now comes the time I will have the phone in the shower, by the pool, at every meal, no matter what I am doing my phone will be with me! I don't want to miss one call, email, or FaceTime.
But as I tuck Cheyenne into bed I start to have more tears fall. Jeremy and I would tuck her in every night together. And I know that there will always be tears falling. Missing him and him missing out on the little things, something as simple as saying " goodnight, I love you"!
Tears falling....as they always will!

Family
Today my sister-in-law got married!!!! What a wonderful blessing!!! Unfortunately we were not able to be there with all of the family. So as I lay in bed I sit and think of being with family and how important family means to me. I am grateful to be blessed with an amazing, caring, beautiful, loving, supportive, strong mother of my own. I have a dad who is just the same as my mother, but he's a boy. Lol! But when I married Jeremy I gained 3 more mothers and 2 more dads! They have accepted me and my 3 little girls as if we have been here our entire lives. Along with all these parents I have 2 great sisters and 2 great brothers from my mom and dad, but I also got 9 more brothers and sisters!!! I was blessed with a bigger family then what I ever expected! But as most of the family gathered this weekend to celebrate Jen and Tim, Jeremy, the girls, and myself are home spending every min together, that we possibly can. As the time goes by, and it's going fast, you never think it's enough time.
As these last few days have been dwindling down we have been working on a few things together. Such as trying to get those pesky little projects around the house done, making sure all the vehicles are running good, POA is good, getting everything together for me to start school in the fall as a full time college student,as well as getting Cheyenne to her tryouts for a travel softball team. It's important to her that Jeremy takes part as in much as he can before he leaves.
We had a going away party for Jeremy with some of our friends. With us our friends are our family. As some who have moved or were just not able to make it, we sat back and remembered good times with each other. Jeremy driving over the awesome rock garden we have in the backyard one last time, getting in one last swim together, to even having a great meal. With our friends that were here Jeremy and I were able to also celebrate our first year of being together. Thinking back to that first weekend at Longs Ranch!!!
All in all I am saying that family is very important to me. The support that family and friends give is something that you can't just find anywhere!
Congratulations to Jen and Tim on their marriage!!!
